Mary Cathey Head Start is Oxford Mississippi's premier childcare program. This program provides comprehensive development services to children from birth to five years old. Services include early childhood education, family and community partnerships, health and nutrition services, and social services. The program takes a holistic approach to child development and focuses on the entire family.  Mary Cathey Head Start is committed to providing high quality, developmentally appropriate services to children and families in the Oxford community. The program staff is dedicated to creating an environment that encourages learning and emphasizes the importance of social, emotional, physical and intellectual development of each child.

Volunteers are needed in the classroom to work with the students on pre-literacy skills and to read during Dr. Seuss week.
