Family Crisis Services of Northwest Mississippi assists and supports victims of violent crime and strengthens as well as stabilizes families. The agency provides 24-hour crisis intervention, counseling, education, legal advocacy, and referral services for victims of child abuse and sexual assault as well as friends and family of homicide victims.
The United Way of Oxford-Lafayette County helps fund the agency’s Victim Services program, which seeks to reduce the trauma of violence by providing immediate and long-term support to victims and survivors of sexual assault, child abuse, domestic violence, and homicide.
Volunteer opportunities include support groups, counseling, education and tutoring, fundraising, crisis intervention, host-family activities, marketing/public relations, special projects, volunteer training, and prevention education.
